If your child will be five years old by Aug. 31, 2024, and you live in the Issaquah School District, it’s time to register for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year! Located in Sammamish, WA, Discovery Elementary serves approximately 540 students in Kindergarten through 5 th Grade, as well as preschoolers in the district’s Early Childhood Education – Special Education Program and four-year-olds in the Transitional Kindergarten program. All auction proceeds support every student in the Issaquah School District by helping fund the programs and grants provided by the Issaquah Schools Foundation. Introducing STEAM Night This year, Discovery added the "Arts" to STEM Night; referring it to STEAM Night, as a result. May 27 Memorial Day - No School all day May 29 Free Vaccine Clinic for All ISD Students & Families 4 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 PM Issaquah Middle School District students, incoming kindergarten students and family members of students are invited to a free vaccine clinic from 4 to 8 p.m. on May 29 in the commons at Issaquah Middle School. The event is a partnership between Bellevue College and Public Health – Seattle & King County. Vaccinations are required to attend school. This is a drop-in event, with no appointments necessary. Here are some additional details about the free clinic: Insurance is not required. Identification is not required. If you have your vaccine records, please bring them, but they are not required. It’s safe to revaccinate. Parents/guardians will need to sign consent forms, which will be available at the event. The vaccines are available for children and adult family members. Our incoming kindergarten students are welcome to attend and receive any vaccines that they need for school. Seventh grade students who need a Tdap may also want to attend. Vaccines available will include: DTap Tdap MMR Varicella Polio Hepatitis B It’s possible that those who attend may also be able to receive COVID-19, HPV and Meningococcal vaccines.
